Reduction Operation
Definition
The Reduction Operation is the rebalancing move for “Unacknowledged” displacement. Where vertical/diagonal handle visible imbalance (Too Little / Too Much), Reduction handles hidden imbalance — the position is functioning, but its underlying digit-root pattern hasn’t been faced.
Compassion (6, root 6) and Abstraction (15, root 6) share the same digit-root: love and chain are the same gesture seen from two sides. When Compassion’s unacknowledged shadow surfaces, engaging Abstraction (the visible chain) makes the pattern conscious.
