Practice Governance

Definition

Every manifest Practice (Spirit, Mind, Emotion, Body) is governed by exactly one of the four Gestalt archetypes (Potential, Will, Actualization, Awareness). The four governance edges are forced by structural derivation:

PracticeGovernorPosition
SpiritPotential0
MindActualization19
EmotionAwareness20
BodyWill1

Gestalt itself is governed by Source (Position 10 — the Wheel that turns everything, the ungoverned root). Portal positions (10 and 21) have special governance: Source governs itself; Creation has composite governance from all positions.

Why It’s Load-Bearing

Practice Governance is the dependency structure of the manifest grid:

  • Every manifest archetype’s coherence depends on its practice’s governor — Compassion (Emotion practice) depends on Awareness (Emotion’s governor) holding the field
  • Rebalancing operations cascade through governance edges: rebalancing an archetype involves engaging its governor
  • The five rebalancing engines in Treatise_Rebalancing_Mechanics are governance-mediated
  • The lint script needs this invariant to verify every Practice has the correct governor edge

Confidence Tier

COMPUTATIONALLY_VALIDATED. The four governance edges are verified by exhaustive permutation analysis (Soul_House_Channel_Derivation_CANON.md). No alternative assignment of governors to practices preserves the framework’s full set of invariants.
